The Chaise Longue is is the only piece that Le Corbusier worked on intensively himself. He called it the “resting machine” and placed a lot of value on the infinite positions it could be adjusted to, all without the use of any mechanisms. Gravity alone is used to adjust the chair, and besides, once you’re in the chair, you won’t want to get up quickly anyways!
Our version is not considered a copy of Cassina’s version, but rather, is borne of a tradition started 50 years ago in Tuscany.

Welded seams polished to perfection
No less than twelve seams are welded by hand to create the frame for the Corbusier Chaise Longue. To ensure that the seams are almost invisible, they must be welded with a high degree of precision.
Once the seams have been welded, a lot of time is spent sanding the welded seams before they can be polished and finished with a layer of chrome.
True to the original
The position of the rotating supports is identical to that of the original. In copies, the heads of the Allen screws are visible, just more proof that the manufacturer is cutting corners.
The almost rectangular cross-section of the tubes used is also true to the original.
